allu arjun, supreme court,

Allu Arjun could encounter new legal challenges as Telangana Police are reportedly preparing to approach the Supreme Court to contest the interim bail granted to him. This development follows a tragic incident at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. During a promotional event for Pushpa 2: The Rule, the venue experienced a stampede.

Allu Arjun to face Supreme Court on stampede case

Allu Arjun was arrested on December 15, 2024. It was after a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and left her daughter, Tej, critically injured with reported brain damage. The chaos ensued when an overwhelming crowd gathered to see the actor. Allu Arjun was present at the event alongside music director Devi Sri Prasad. It was reported that the main gate of the theatre collapsed amid the frenzy, contributing to the tragedy.

Following his arrest, Allu Arjun was placed in 14-day judicial custody. But was subsequently granted interim bail for four weeks on a personal bond of ₹50,000. Unfortunately, due to delays in processing the necessary paperwork, he spent a night in jail before his release.

Upon his release, Allu Arjun expressed profound sorrow over the incident, labelling it as very unfortunate. He addressed criticisms regarding not reaching out to the deceased’s family. The actor stated that his legal advisors had recommended against it during the ongoing proceedings.

The Telangana Police is likely to escalate the matter to the Supreme Court to challenge his interim bail. It appears that Allu Arjun’s legal troubles are far from resolved. Updates regarding the situation are expected as it continues to develop.

What happened?

The Hyderabad Police have already initiated a case against Allu Arjun. They are planning to contest his bail in the High Court. Before the event, the police had cautioned both the theatre owners and Arjun about potential crowd management issues. But the stampede occurred regardless, leading to dire consequences.

While Allu Arjun has not met with Tej due to legal advice, he has conveyed his concern for her wellbeing and his willingness to assist her family. The police’s petition to revoke his bail raises the prospect of further legal troubles for him. This suggests that he may face re-arrest soon. The serious nature of this case, combined with the involvement of a popular actor, has garnered significant attention.
